Greenwood Veterinary Clinic prides itself on employing only the best in the industry to care for your pets. Meet Dr Garry Edgar

Dr Garry Edgar is the Senior Surgeon for both the Wembley and Greenwood Vet Clinics.

He grew up in nearby Hamersley and graduated from Greenwood High School way back in 1984. He then went on to spend 6 years training at Murdoch University Veterinary School and graduated from there in 1990. He and his family live in the Northern Suburbs, along with 2 dogs, 4 cats and 3 birds. His main interests as a Vet include Surgery such as Orthopaedics (broken bones), Joint Surgery like knee-reconstructions, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (particularly after complicated lump removals), and Abdominal Surgery. He also has interests in Chemotherapy, Metabolic or Hormonal diseases, and Skin disease. When he is not working in practice, he has also spent time on several professional bodies, such as the W.A. Animal Welfare Advisory Commission, been a Board member of the Murdoch University Veterinary Trust, and been President of the Australian Veterinary Association in WA.

Our Team

Dr Natasha Mincham

Dr Natasha Mincham is the Senior Medical Consultant for the Greenwood Vet Clinic. She graduated from Murdoch University in 1999 with 1st class honours and began her career at Wembley Vet Hospital, before going on to spend 4 years working in London for a busy Vet Hospital and charity clinic. Since returning to Perth she has become married, had 3 kids and continued to work in Small Animal Practice. Natasha enjoys all aspects of Vet Practice, but has special interests in Dermatology, Management of long term and challenging Medical conditions, as well as Soft-Tissue Surgery. When she isn’t at work, Natasha spends most of her time chasing around after her three girls!

Sandra

Sandra McCormick joined the team in October 2014 and is currently studying a Certificate IV in Vet Nursing and is using this knowledge on the job each and every week. From walking the boarding dogs to feeding the cats and assisting in veterinary procedures, Sandra is a hands-on team member who does her bit to help the animals wherever she can. With a passion for animal care and welfare, Sandra hopes to study Animal Behaviour once she has finished her current course to build on her ever-growing skills here at the vet clinic.

Kate

Kate Bonavita started her Vet Nursing Traineeship at the Wembley Vet in 2010 and qualified in 2012 and has enjoyed working with the team ever since. During her time working as a Vet Burse, Kate has gain valuable experience in all areas of vet nursing and what she enjoys most is caring for the wide variety of animals that are brought into the clinic. In her spare time Kate’s enjoys taking her miniature schnauzer Loki for a walk. She also enjoys Muay Thai (kick boxing) and her gym work outs. Unlike her boss Kate has good taste in football teams – go dockers!
